Altelier Iris
for PS2

In this traditional RPG you play Klein, an alchemist
who wants nothing more than to help his friend Lita survive.
In order to do this he needs to make a ruby prism for her. Of
course, you will also help to save the world. Yup, the story
isn't the most original thing out there.
The battle system is typical RPG turn based, with
your mana users and physical attackers. Klein can create mana items on the fly
to help out as well. Yup, the battle system is not that unique.
You travel around from town to town helping people out and getting rid of monsters,
gelatinous blobs called puni and elemental creatures that freeze you, etc. Yup,
the monsters are very typical.
In short, if you like a fun little RPG, this is
okay. Nothing outstanding, but a fun play. One complaint, the game always glitched
on me at the very end, so I never could get to the bonus stuff that happens after
you beat it. But since it wasn't that extraordinary, I guess that's okay.
